Coming to Côte d'Ivoire

Visa to enter Côte d'Ivoire

Foreign nationals holding ordinary or official passports wishing to travel to Côte d’Ivoire are
required to have a biometric visa* .
Applications for biometric visas can be made either at the Côte d’Ivoire embassy in the
relevant country or, since 2 January 2014, online at www.snedai.ci (after registering and
paying the fee online, a biometric e.visa is issued on arrival at Abidjan airport).
All foreign nationals must be able to produce a valid visa or an Ivorian residence permit at
the request of any law enforcement officer*.
For further information, visit www.snedai.ci

Letter of invitation

You can obtain a letter of invitation from SICA. This letter will help you in the process of obtaining a VISA. Please note that the embassy or consulate remains the sole decision-maker in obtaining your visa and is your only contact for any further questions.

ATTENTION: The letter of invitation DOES NOT PERMIT YOU to enter SICA. It is a document to help you obtain your VISA from the Côte d'Ivoire embassy/consulate. * The SICA Organizer cannot be held responsible for any failure to comply with these conditions.

Vaccination

Information published by the World Health Organization (WHO)

Yellow fever

Vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory for entering and staying in the country. Your vaccination record will be checked on arrival in Côte d'Ivoire. Ask your doctor or an international vaccination center for advice.

Malaria

Côte d'Ivoire is classified as zone 3 for the risk of malaria. Before leaving, you should seek advice from a doctor or the tropical diseases vaccination center. Preventive prophylactic treatment is recommended for short stays in Côte d'Ivoire. In all cases, during your stay in Côte d'Ivoire, individual protection against mosquito bites is strongly recommended (repellents, diffusers, mosquito nets...).
